Welcome to Roger Damit Photography. I am an amateur photographer that enjoys photographing mountain landscapes, waterfalls, wildlife, old buildings, wildflowers and the night sky, but my real job is as a full time Historic Preservation Carpenter/Park Manager in the best little ghost town in the west, Bannack City Montana.  My camera is with me always as I never know when something is going to catch my eye that I just cannot pass up trying to capture.  I live in a very small 120 year old historic log home within a National Historic Landmark with two dogs, two cats and my granddaughter, so I spend lots of time outdoors.

If you are wondering about the name, well I guess as a young man I may have been a little hard headed, My wonderful Mother, who does not cuss, would get so frustrated with me that the whole family came to think my middle name was "Damit". All they ever heard was "Roger damit, stop that!" or some variation there of, but it is always said with love, no matter the frustration level. She still calls me that to this day and I cannot figure out why, I don't consider myself hard headed at all.

I am self taught in photography, as I am sure you can tell, but I love trying to capture this beautiful world I call home in photos so that I can share that beauty with others. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoy taking and sharing them. Thanks for visiting, if you have any questions or would like to request a special size or printing option, please contact me, I will do what I can to make it happen.
